Welcome to Urbino Musica Antica
Now in its 57th edition, the Urbino course has long been a point of reference for those who love early music. In the magnificent setting of this important medieval city, for nine days we sing, play and dance, alternating individual lessons in the morning with many group activities in the afternoon, including orchestra, consort, chamber music, polyphony, the oratory workshop, Renaissance and Baroque dance. Among its participants, young people who want to specialize and amateurs are always welcome. So are also children, who have "junior" courses dedicated to them for recorder, baroque violin and harpsichord. The result of this intense period of collective study will be appreciated in the final concerts, some of which are included in the prestigious festival parallel to the course, Urbino Musica Antica: 16 concerts of music from the Middle Ages to the Classical age, in which great international professionals and brilliant talents of the new generations compete, in the most evocative places of the city. Viva Urbino Musica Antica! We look forward to seeing you.
